Since there aren’t enough sweet treats for Halloween already, why not make this easy Halloween fudge? It’s one of my favorite Halloween dessert recipes! Made with only a few simple ingredients, you can whip up this fudge in no time.

Since Halloween is right around the corner (how!?) I knew I needed to come up with another fun recipe for the kids! My easy Halloween treats for kids has been exploding lately on the blog, which tells me you all like EASY Halloween treats for kids!

This fudge is based off my other super easy microwaveable fudge recipes. You really only need 2 ingredients for fudge; condensed milk and chocolate chips! Since we’re making a fun colorful version here, we’re going to use white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips and blue candy melts.

How do you make easy Halloween fudge?

Before setting out to make your fudge, get all of your ingredients out, measured and ready. You’ll need:

  • sweetened condensed milk
  • white chocolate chips
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • blue candy melts
  • orange food coloring
  • sprinkles
  • candy eyes
  • Reese’s pieces

1. Start by lining an 8×8 pan with foil and spraying it with nonstick spray. In a microwave safe bowl, combine 1/3 of the can of condensed milk with the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave on high for 30-40 seconds, removing and stirring until smooth. Spread this dark chocolate layer into the bottom of the foil-lined pan. Set in the fridge while you prepare the remaining colors.

*Pro Tip* An important thing to know when making this fudge, is that you have to move quickly. Once the condensed milk and chocolate chips are melted together, you should immediately be spreading it into the pan, as it will harden quickly as it sits.

2. In two more separate, clean bowls, combine 1/3 of the remaining condensed milk with the white chocolate chips, and the final remaining 1/3 condensed milk with the blue candy melts. If you’re creating an orange portion as well, ensure you have another clean bowl at the ready, as well as the orange dye.

3. One after the other, microwave the white chocolate chip mixture for 30-40 seconds, stirring until smooth, then the blue chocolate chips mixture, stirring until smooth. Place half of the white (melted) mixture in the spare bowl and add a drop or two of orange food coloring, stirring immediately.

4. Remove the prepared fudge from the fridge, then drop the prepared colored fudge by spoonfuls on top of the dark fudge in the pan. Use the back of a spoon to spread out the colors.

5. Add sprinkles, candy eyeballs and Reese’s pieces on top of the fudge, pressing them lightly into the pan. Place the fudge in the fridge for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight). Use the handles of the aluminum foil to pull the fudge out of the pan, and on to a cutting board. Cut the fudge into 36 pieces, and store in the fridge.

Can you use other colors of chocolate for the fudge?

Yes, you can have fun with the colors or just keep things simple with dark and white. Using colored candy melts is a great option for mixing up different colors. Just try to keep the ratio of about 1/3 can condensed milk (100 mL) to 1 cup chocolate.

Can you make this Halloween fudge vegan or dairy free?

I have tried a few fudge recipes using coconut condensed milk and vegan chocolate, and it always works out just as well! Just keep the ratios of condensed milk to chocolate the same as indicated in the recipe.

Do you have to use the microwave for this fudge?

You can absolutely use a pot over low heat on the stove, but since you’ll be working quickly with the other colors, be prepared to have a couple of different pots on the go. OR just keep it simple and use less colors. Ensure you continue stirring while the chocolate pieces are melting on the stove.
