This sparkling peach vodka cocktail uses fresh peaches and peach vodka with a bit of grenadine and lime to create the best summer cocktail!

*Please note* this post was originally published in 2019. The photos have since been updated but the recipe remains the same.

You know when you try something delicious, not expecting to like it quite as much as you find yourself liking it? This happened to me at the Taste of Calgary a few weeks ago. A friend and I stopped by the Summer Love Vodka tent in the beer gardens and used some of our tickets on their peach vodka drink. I wish I could remember what was in it, but I know it had at least two things; peach vodka and sparkling water. Whatever else was in it, it was SOOO good!

I left the event that night and the next day bought 2 bottles of that peach vodka. SO GOOD. I’m not even usually a vodka drinker! But theirs is AWESOME. More than a pound of peaches go into their peach vodka. No sugar added, no weirdness. PS – this post is not sponsored, I’m just honestly that excited!

Anyway, I couldn’t remember what was in the drink that I had, so I created something that was equally delicious. I tried a few different versions with my hubby as the happy taste tester (perils of working from home) until we/I felt satisfied!

What ingredients do you need for a peach vodka cocktail?

Well, obviously, peach vodka 😉 If you don’t have access to the stellar Summer Love vodka, you can also find one from Absolut or Smirnoff. Other than that, you’ll need the following:

  • lime soda water
  • grenadine
  • fresh peach slices (optional)
  • ice

The fresh peach isn’t TOTALLY necessary, but I like to think it is because it looks pretty, and the peach kind of sucks in the whole boozy mixture and is a tasty little treat at the end. And, it’s a snack. Helloooo!

How many drinks does this recipe make?

My recipe makes 2 drinks. It can easily be made for 1, or for more! Or just, 4 for 1. No judgement. You can use the recipe card at the bottom of this post to multiply the ingredients to get more than 2 drinks too, if you’re wondering how much you’ll need for a party!

I’ve never tried making a pitcher of this cocktail but I would imagine you easily could. Just multiply the ingredients to account for the volume that you’ll need for your pitcher!

Does the order that you put the ingredients in the cocktail glass matter?

The order that you mix the ingredients isn’t overly important, but you’ll get a really pretty effect if you put the grenadine in last. And everything tastes better when it’s pretty, right?

You can also add the ice, along with the peach vodka and grenadine to a cocktail shaker to get a very cold drink. Add the bubbly water after pouring the mixture from the cocktail shaker into the cocktail glass.

Today my oldest, Oscar, starts kindergarten. I can’t believe it! It makes me sad to think this is the start of his entire school career. Today! I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy a lot of his last 5 years, but he will no longer be with me EVERY day, ALL day. It’s a weird sensation.

Someone pass me a drink!

Description

This sparkling peach vodka cocktail uses fresh peaches and peach vodka with a bit of grenadine and lime  to create the best summer cocktail!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz peach vodka
  • ice (4-5 cubes)
  • 1/2 fresh peach, sliced*
  • 175mL lime soda water (1/2 can)**
  • 1/2 oz grenadine

Instructions

  1. In a standard sized cocktail glass, pour in the peach vodka. Fill the glass 3/4 full with ice, then place the peach slices inside. Pour in the lime soda water, followed by the splash of grenadine. Serve immediately.

Notes

*The peaches don’t add much flavor themselves to the drink, they’re more for appearance! You can make this without

**If you don’t have lime soda water, you could substitute for plain soda water with lime juice, or even 7-Up/gingerale
