Made with only 3 ingredients, these Greek yogurt cherry popsicles are sweet and creamy and so simple to make! Finish them off with a drizzle of chocolate for an extra special treat.
I know the end of summer is sadly near, but we are experiencing crazy hot weather here and all we’ve been eating lately is watermelon, popsicles, freezies and ice cream. My kids convinced me to buy a jumbo box of freezies at the beginning of summer with the promise that they were going to sell them on the side of the road and earn some extra cash.
I’ll give them some credit in that they did have a couple of days of sales, but summer got busy and the novelty wore off. So now we’re working through the freezies ourselves! But, sometimes we switch it up with one of these homemade Greek yogurt cherry popsicles!
How do you make Greek yogurt cherry popsicles?
Like most of my popsicle recipes, this is a ridiculously easy recipe! All you need for this recipe is:
- cherries, pitted
- Greek yogurt
- maple syrup
I use plain Greek yogurt but you could make these with vanilla Greek yogurt too, to make these extra delicious and a bit sweeter!
1. In a high speed blender, add the fresh cherries and blend on high. Add the maple syrup and blend until totally pureed.
2. Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and then add the Greek yogurt, stirring with a spatula to fully incorporate. You can also only stir a few times, to keep things looking swirly and pretty!
3. Pour the mixture into a popsicle mold. I have a 12-count mold that I love to use and this makes just enough to fill it completely. Place a popsicle stick in the mold and then freeze the molds for 5-6 hours or until solid.
4. To release the popsicles from the mold, run the outside of the mold under hot water until the popsicles release from the mold.
5. Optional: Chocolate Drizzle! Place the popsicles on a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring until smooth. Use a spoon to drizzle the chocolate all over the popsicles, then place the baking pan in the freezer until the chocolate is frozen.
How long can you keep these 3 ingredient popsicles in the freezer?
If you store the popsicles in a vacuum seal bag, these popsicles will last for 4-5 months! If you’re using a regular freezer Ziploc bag, they might start to get freezer burn after a couple months. Luckily they likely won’t last a couple of months!
Can you make these popsicles dairy free and/or vegan?
You can 100% make these vegan by using dairy-free yogurt. Be sure to use as thick of a dairy-free yogurt as you can. A coconut milk yogurt is a good option! You could also use coconut cream in place of yogurt.
Be sure to use vegan chocolate for the drizzle as well!

Description
Made with only 3 ingredients, these Greek yogurt cherry popsicles are sweet and creamy and so simple to make! Finish them off with a drizzle of chocolate for an extra special treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt*
- optional: 2 tbsp chocolate chips
Instructions
- Add the cherries to a high-speed blender and blend on high until smooth and pureed, about 30 seconds to a minute. Add the maple syrup and blend again for an additional 15 seconds. Pour the mixture into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the Greek yogurt and use a spatula or spoon to stir in the Greek yogurt until fully incorporated. You can also leave it looking swirly for a fun effect! Pour the mixture into a 12-count popsicle mold and insert a popsicle stick into each mold. Place the popsicles in the freezer for 5-6 hours until firm.
- To release the popsicles from the molds, run the outside of the mold under hot water until the popsicles easily release.
- Optional: Chocolate drizzle. Place the popsicles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Microwave the chocolate chips in a heat-safe bowl on high in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until smooth. Use a spoon to drizzle the melted chocolate all over the popsicles. Place the baking sheet back into the freezer until the chocolate is hardened, about 5 minutes.
Store the popsicles in the freezer, in a Ziploc bag for 2 months or vacuum sealed bag for 5-6 months.
Notes
*For a sweeter popsicle, use vanilla flavored Greek yogurt. You can also use a dairy-free yogurt alternative to keep these popsicles vegan!

Ohhh I am in dire need of one now. I can make them at home but no greek yoghurt, I guess I will use that flavoured yoghurt I have on the fridge, definitely will benifit from its added taste.
