Perfect for game day or just a perfect party dip, this spicy dill pickle dip combines real dill pickle flavour with just the right amount of spice! It’s delicious with chips, crackers or even as a sauce for tacos or burritos!

Who loves a good dip!? I mean chips are already so irresistible but when you throw a tasty dip in the mix, it’s going to be very hard for me to stop! Generally, I have pretty decent self control when it comes to sweets but a salty, crispy snack is another story!
There is a dill pickle dip that I’ve picked up and enjoyed more than a few times when I’ve been entertaining, but one of the last times I had this dip I realized I should really just try making my own – and of course – make it spicy!
Luckily, the spice is totally within your control and if you make it the way the recipe is written, it’s really not that spicy at all. Just a nice little zing!

Ingredients Needed For Spicy Dill Pickle Dip
You might have already guessed that you’ll need actual dill pickles for this dip! If you’ve got a favourite brand, use it! Here are the other ingredients you’ll need:
- full fat cream cheese
- plain Greek yogurt
- hot sauce
- garlic powder
- pickle juice
- chopped pickles
Cream Cheese: Be sure to use the brick of cream cheese, not the tub. The full fat adds a richness to the dip but you could use light cream cheese if you’d prefer
Hot Sauce: Just use your favourite brand here! I love Frank’s Red Hot sauce but there are so many great options for hot sauces out there to use.

Dip Directions
The best thing about this dip? It can come together in a pinch! The hardest part is chopping the pickles.
This recipe is super easy to whip up in a food processor, but you can also just combine everything by hand with a bit of muscle! The directions below will be written as if you are doing it by hand.
Note: You will need the cream cheese to be at room temperature before starting this recipe.
1. In a large mixing bowl, use a large wooden spoon to mash the cream cheese and stir it until smooth. Once smooth, add in the Greek yogurt, hot sauce, garlic powder, and pickle juice.
2. Stir until everything is completely smooth! Fold in the chopped pickles. If you are using a food processor, be sure to fold in the chopped pickles by hand.
You can enjoy the dip immediately, but it will thicken up if you place it in the fridge for a few hours before serving!

What Can You Serve Spicy Dill Pickle Dip With?
I love, love chips and dip! BUT there are so many other ways to use this dip. Let’s think outside of the box! You can use this dip for:
- vegetables
- pretzels or other crackers
- as a topping for tacos or burritos
- nachos
- in a wrap with chicken
- pita chips
- flatbread or naan
When I was testing out this dip I was loading up my lunch wrap with it, using my Dutch oven pulled chicken. It was SO good!
Some Other Dips and Sauces From The Blog
Have you ever watched Only Murders In The Building? If you have you’ll know what I mean when I say dips now always make me think of Martin Short. The character in the show only eats dips for food….strange but maybe he’s on to something?
Anyway here are a few of my favourite dips and other things from the blog:
- spicy roasted red pepper hummus
- strawberry rhubarb salsa
- baked goat cheese dip
- creamy ranch dip
- sweet potato fries with dill dip
